As another year of dances, parades, and other events winds down for our kids, I’d like to ask you to remember the EKO in your holiday gift-giving and tax planning. This year’s Prom was the biggest ever, with the Manhattan Beach Marriott personnel going out of their way to help us make this the best Prom ever.  We are already starting to plan next year’s Prom! Even though our costs are rising, we do our best to hold down the price so everyone can attend and have a great time. We have our members, like you, to thank for your generous support.

Our  partnership with the Shake Shack in El Segundo has been renewed for another year. Thank you Rachel and the Shake Shack!!  We brought back Family Fun Day this year and hope to get backc to making it a yearly event.  We had games, prizes, crafts and free food! We continue to hold monthly dances at American Martyr’s and the South Bay Adult School.  A big thank you to AmMartyrs for their support to the EKO.  We love you guys.   We regularly have attendances between 200 and 300 at these dances. We put nearly $8000 dollars back into the classrooms via classrooms grants.  These grants are use to supply needed materials and support field trips, which would otherwise not be funded by the Districts.

These social activities and classroom grants would not be possible without your financial and moral support. Please remember the EKO during this joyful time of the year. We are a proud partner with Facebook for Giving Tuesday (November 27th).  We are a small organization and depend on our friends to keep us going. Remember: Think global, contribute local. You can mail in a check or donate directly at through our website. And if you can’t support us with a contribution, please consider making us your charity at Amazon Smile or at  See our website for details (On-line Giving) . You can help our kids and it doesn’t cost you anything. And you can contact us and volunteer your time to help us continue to support Exceptional Kids. All contributions are tax-deductible. Thank you and happy holidays!
